The Route..
The fastest 5 mile course in Munster with a net down hill. It starts outside Kinsale GAA pitch. The first mile is towards Ballinacurra House with beautiful scenic country side and then down hill to White Castle following the Bandon River. The race goes towards town with great views up and down the river the whole way to the Kinsale RNLI Station. With 800 metres to go, it goes down Lower O'Connell street and then down Main Street, finishing at Giles Norman's, right in the centre of town where there will be a great Kinsale Regatta Festival atmosphere.
Race HQ will be at Kinsale GAA club which is ~100m from the start line. The finish line will be on main street Kinsale. Refreshments and prize giving will be at Temperance Hall ~100m from the finish line. The route back to the car parks will be signposted from the finish line.
Please note, that there is 1km between the start and the finish line.
